Remainder.studio provides AI-powered tools for narrative production, including video generation, voice synthesis, image generation, and creative writing assistance. This Use Policy outlines the rules and restrictions that govern your use of our platform and any content generated through it.

This policy applies to all users of our Service regardless of subscription tier. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

Prohibited Content

You may not use Remainder.studio to create, distribute, or facilitate the creation of content that:

Sexual & Exploitative Content

• Depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
• Generates non-consensual intimate imagery of real individuals
• Creates sexually explicit content involving minors or characters depicted as minors
• Produces revenge pornography or intimate content without subject consent

Violence & Harm

• Promotes, glorifies, or incites real-world violence against individuals or groups
• Provides instructions for creating weapons, explosives, or dangerous substances
• Generates content intended to harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten specific individuals
• Creates content that encourages self-harm or suicide
• Produces extreme graphic violence or gore intended to shock or disturb

Deception & Fraud

• Impersonates real individuals without their explicit consent for deceptive purposes
• Creates deepfakes or synthetic media intended to mislead, defraud, or manipulate
• Generates fraudulent documents, credentials, or identification
• Produces content designed to manipulate elections, judicial proceedings, or democratic processes
• Creates fake news, disinformation, or propaganda designed to appear as legitimate journalism

Hate & Discrimination

• Promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Generates slurs, derogatory language, or dehumanizing content targeting protected groups
• Creates content supporting or glorifying terrorist organizations or extremist ideologies

Illegal Activities

• Facilitates, promotes, or provides instructions for illegal activities
• Generates content that infringes upon intellectual property rights of others
• Creates content for phishing, social engineering, or cyber attacks
• Produces content that violates export control laws or sanctions

The following uses require additional care, disclosure, or may be limited depending on your subscription tier:

AI Disclosure Requirements

When publishing or distributing AI-generated content created with Remainder.studio, you must:

• Clearly disclose that content was created with AI assistance where required by applicable law
• Not represent AI-generated content as human-created when doing so would be deceptive
• Include appropriate disclosures when using synthetic voices that could be mistaken for real individuals
• Comply with platform-specific AI content labeling requirements when distributing on third-party platforms

Voice & Likeness

• You may only clone or replicate a voice if you are the voice owner or have explicit written permission
• You may not use AI-generated voices to impersonate public figures for commercial or political purposes without consent
• You may not create synthetic media of real individuals in contexts they have not consented to

Commercial Use

• Commercial use of generated content requires a Creator tier subscription or above
• Free tier content includes a watermark and may not be used commercially
• You are responsible for ensuring your commercial use does not infringe third-party rights
• Reselling raw API access or generated content as a competing service is prohibited

Automated & High-Volume Use

• Automated access to the platform (bots, scrapers, scripts) is only permitted through our official API with a Studio or Enterprise subscription
• You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, credit limits, or usage quotas
• You may not use the platform to train competing AI models without explicit written permission
• Bulk generation for spam, SEO manipulation, or content farming is prohibited

Content Moderation & Enforcement

We employ automated and human review systems to detect policy violations. Our enforcement system operates as follows:

Responsible AI Use Guidelines

We encourage all users to embrace responsible AI practices:

• Transparency: Be honest about AI involvement in your creative process
• Consent: Always obtain proper permissions before using someone's voice, likeness, or intellectual property
• Accuracy: Do not use AI to create or spread false information presented as fact
• Respect: Consider the impact of your content on individuals and communities
• Attribution: Credit original creators and sources where appropriate
• Safety: Report policy violations you encounter to help maintain a safe community

Appeals Process

If you believe your content was incorrectly flagged or your account was wrongly actioned, you may submit an appeal:

• Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the enforcement action
• Include a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
• Provide any relevant context or evidence supporting your position
• Appeals are reviewed within 10 business days
• Decisions on appeals are final

Changes to This Policy
